Hollyoaks was launched in October 1995 on Channel 4.

In 2005, the logo was updated and a tree, which previously was used only in print, was added in the 'O'.

In February 2007, the tree was removed and replaced with the gender symbols.
2009–2010[]

In June 2009, the logo was changed from pink and blue to monochrome.
2010[]

In September 2010, Paul Marquess gave the opening titles a revamp. The logo was slightly modified from being monochrome to white and red. Also, the background was changed to pink and purple.
2010–2011[]

In November 2010, the background was modified, making some areas darker.
2011–2016[]

In June 2011, the gender symbols were removed from the logo, and the background was changed to blue and green. Also, the #Hollyoaks was introduced in a white font.
2012–2013[]

In December 2012, Bryan Kirkwood returned and changed the logo background to a light gray, at the same time the opening titles were updated.
2013–2015[]

In October 2013, the logo was given a revamp for the shows 18th anniversary, changing the colour from red and white to gold. Also, the background was changed from a light gray to a dark black.
2015–2016[]

In June 2015, the background was changed from black to turquoise.
2016–2024[]
The whole opening title sequence was changed in September 2016.
