On 18 May 2016, HMD Global and Foxconn's FIH Mobile division bought the Nokia-branded feature phone division of Microsoft Mobile including its brand licensing from Nokia. However, feature phones that were introduced by both Nokia and Microsoft Mobile from 2013 to 2016 are still being sold under HMD Global as later release of those phones removed any traces of Microsoft logo in their packaging.
2017–2023[]
They introduced their new logo in 2017 after they released its first lineup of Nokia-branded Android smartphones and feature phones including the remake of Nokia 3310.
HMD Global/Human Mobile Devices[]
2023–present[]
In 2023, HMD Global updated its logo on its corporate site, but later in 2024, HMD Global was renamed into Human Mobile Devices (HMD) as the new branding will be used on their smartphones and feature phones as they are slowly retiring the classic Nokia branding. The HMD branding was first used on its first smartphone, HMD Vibe, and its feature phones: HMD 105 and 110 (formerly Nokia 105 and 110). The "HMD Global" name is still used as its parent company name.
