On Monday 2nd February 2004, ITV refreshed their news bulletins with a new look using ITV's 4-square motif.

On Monday 16th January 2006, ITV News has had a new look following the change of corporate logo.

On Saturday 1st December 2007, ITV News went widescreen.

On 27 November 2012, it was announced that ITV was to axe the bulletin in favour of delivering content online for itv.com and extra resources to be put into creating a new foreign affairs unit. The programme last aired on 21 December 2012.
