On February 17, 2021, Indofood acquired PepsiCo's shares of Indofood Fritolay Makmur. The company was then renamed Indofood Fortuna Makmur the following month. The end of the partnership will see many Frito-Lay brands such as Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos disappear from the Indonesian market after August 2021 but will retain local brands such as Chitato, Chiki and Qtela, which will be integrated within the Indofood brand. As the result, the former Frito-Lay brands that were available in Indonesia rebranded to Chitato Lite, Maxicorn and Chiki Twist, respectively.
