On February 17, 2021, Indofood acquired PepsiCo's shares in Indofood Fritolay Makmur. The company was then renamed Indofood Fortuna Makmur the following month. The end of the partnership saw Frito-Lay brands such as Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos disappear from the Indonesian market after August 2021 but retained local brands such as Chitato, Chiki and Qtela, which were integrated within the Indofood brand. As a result, the former Frito-Lay brands that were available in Indonesia were rebranded to Chitato Lite, Maxicorn and Chiki Twist, respectively.
