Indosiar is an Indonesian privately-owned television channel. It was launched on January 11, 1995, and was initially owned by Indosiar Karya Media, a subsidiary of Salim Group.
In 2011, it was bought by Emtek which eventually would merge the company with its affiliate Surya Citra Media (which operates SCTV) in 2013.
1995–2015
The first logo of Indosiar was used from the launch until 2015 and sometimes it's still visible on many properties.
It was based on the logo of Hong Kong's television broadcasting company TVB, but except the color order of the circle was changed, as well as "INDOSIAR" text cropped the green side of the circle. TVB had also helped Indosiar's development in the first years.
2000–2012 (secondary logo)
The "flying fish" logo was also used on-air from March 16, 2007 until March 16, 2012. The logo was used to resemble Indosiar's mascot that was featured on screen from 1996-2015 & 2020.
The original version of this logo has the rainbow colors on the fish's wing and still used on several properties such as SNG cars and statement letters.
With the mascot being so iconic, flying fishes are called as "Indosiar fish" by many people.
2012–2014
As a part of rebranding effort under Emtek's ownership since 2011, Indosiar slightly updated its logo with 3D effect. Used on-air from October 1, 2012, to November 30, 2014.
Note that former 3 red rings that replaced letter O, which was a sign of many Salim Group subsidiaries, had been reduced to 1.
2014–present
The re-designed logo with gradients and the new font was debuted on 2014 Ramadhan and Eid Mubarak promos and became the on-air bug on December 1, 2014, to commemorate the network's 20th anniversary. It is officially used as a corporate logo on January 11, 2015.
