Isla Communications (Islacom)

1990-2003

On June 15, 1990, Isla Communications Co., Inc. (Islacom) was incorporated. Through Republic Act 7372, Islacom was authorized to develop full-service telecommunications network in the country.

In 2001, Islacom was merged with Globe Telecom and Islacom's mobile cellular network division later changed its name to Touch Mobile.

Innove Commnications

On August 25, 2003, the SEC approved the change in name of Islacom to Innove Communications, Inc. (Innove), In the same year, the National Telecommunications Commission ("NTC") granted Globe Telecom's application to transfer its fixed line business assets and subscribers to Islacom, pursuant to its strategy to integrate all of its fixed line services under Islacom. Innove currently handles Globe At Home, formerly known as Globelines, Globe Broadband, Globe Tattoo@Home and Globe Home Broadband.

Innove Communications formerly handles Touch Mobile as the network became Globe's MVNO network in 2008.
