2014–2015[]
Around August 2014, Intel announced that Intel Core M will be the new processor for the mobile computers and will be the processor that will serve purpose around it.
2015–2019[]
The Core M series were dropped after the Kaby Lake/Amber Lake chips in favor of the Y-series of the main Intel Core processors, later known as the Project Athena mobile platform, which is later became Intel Evo.
