Intel Core M

2014–2015

Around August 2014, Intel announced that Intel Core M will be the new processor for the mobile computers and will be the processor that will serve purpose around it.

2015–2019

The Core M series were dropped after the Kaby Lake/Amber Lake chips in favor of the Y-series of the main Intel Core processors, later known as the Project Athena mobile platform until they adopting a new brand called Intel Evo Powered by Core series that it is currently used for their Tiger Lake chips in 2020.
