2002–2003[]
In 2002, Intel began to install the Pentium 4 M processor in mobile laptops, in order to compete with AMD Athlon XP-M (and later Mobile Athlon 64) and Transmeta Crusoe.
In 2003, Intel stopped producing the Pentium 4 Mobile processor and was replaced by the new Intel Pentium M processor.
