In 2005, Intel began producing the Pentium Extreme Edition, which was a more powerful processor than the regular Pentium processor. This logo was used for 1 year and kept until January 2006. It is also a dual-core CPU based on the Pentium 4 architecture.
2006-2008[]
Just like all the other Intel processors in that were still being produced before January 2006 this one also got changed.
On August 8, 2008, Intel stopped producing the Pentium Extreme Edition processor and replaced it with Core 2 Extreme.
