1992-2001[]
After the 2000-01 season, the league folded. Six teams - Chicago Wolves, Grand Rapids Griffins, Houston Aeros, Utah Grizzlies, Milwaukee Admirals and Manitoba Moose - joined the American Hockey League as expansion teams while the Cincinnati Cyclones rejoined the East Coast Hockey League. The remaining teams folded, including the final IHL champions Orlando Solar Bears.
In 2007 the United Hockey League rebranded to the International Hockey League, and that league folded in 2010.
