Headquartered in Turin, Intesa Sanpaolo is a major Italian international banking group and the second-largest in the country, after UniCredit.
It operates in several European countries and Egypt, some using its own brand and other using different names (e.g., Bank of Alexandria in Egypt, CIB Bank in Hungary, PBZ in Croatia and VÚB banka in Slovakia), though all of them share a common logo.
2007–present[]
Intesa Sanpaolo was formed on January 1, 2007 from the merger of Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI. The post-merger logo inherits the aqueduct logo of Banca Intesa and the serif typeface of Sanpaolo IMI.
