The Israeli Educational Television (also known as IETV, Template:Lang-he, HaŦelevizia HaKhinuchít HaIsraelit or just חינוכית - Hinuchit) was a state-owned public terrestrial television network which used to concentrate on producing and broadcasting programs for school children.
Originally known as the Instructional Television Trust. The words at the logo means Loyalty to the Educational Television - Channel 8.
From 1968 on, IETV shared the same frequency with Channel 1.
IETV programmes are currently broadcast on terrestrial Channel 23, which is also relayed in HOT cable TV and Yes satellite systems, 24 hours a day (midnight-8am are re-runs). The station also shares airtime on the channels 1 and 2 terrestrial outlets.
In 2017, Hinuchit programmes stopped airing in Channel 1 after being replaced by Kan 11 and in Channel 2 after getting split into Keshet 12 and Reshet 13. The channel remained on channel 23 until being replaced by Kan Hinuchit (from the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation) on 15 August 2018.
