This logo is a parody of the General Electric logo. This logo was introduced with the release of the album On The Third Day (1973), but was never used on the band's album covers. The logo has been associated with various typefaces, depending on release. A modified form is used on Japanese obi strips on ELO's albums.

Script
First used on their sixth album, A New World Record (1976), it was used as the primary graphic element of the band until 1981's Time, when the script became the dominant logo. It was inspired by the Wurlitzer 4008 Jukebox Speaker. It was restored in 1990 for the compilation Afterglow and ended use in 2015 when the band renamed to Jeff Lynne's ELO. The logo has been associated with various typefaces, depending on release.
