Jet Airways is an Indian full-service carrier that was launched in 1993 and went on to become one of the country’s most successful privately-run airlines. However, it suspended operations on 17 April 2019 due to financial difficulties, similar to the collapse of competitor Kingfisher Airlines in 2012, leaving Air India and Vistara as the only full-service airlines in India.

After being grounded for nearly three years, Jet Airways is expected to restart operations in the summer of 2022, under the management of the Jalan–Kalrock consortium.
