K13VC, branded on-air as "KVC-13", signed on as a low-powered independent station featuring classic movies & TV shows, along with overflow programming from sister station KTBC.

K13VC left the air in 2002, displaced by the digital signal of Univision's KAKW. The UPN affiliation was dropped in 2000 when KBEJ signed on as a dual-market UPN affiliate for both San Antonio and Austin.
