Field put all of its stations up for sale in 1982, which then sold all of its stations except WKBS-TV as part of its liquidation in 1983. KBHK was one of the stations, which United Television was one of the buyers for Field's stations, including KBHK.
This logo design, along with former sister station WLVI in Boston, continued to use the Field-styled logo after different owners took over the stations until 1990.
On January 24, 2006, UPN and The WB merged to form The CW, and KBHK was one of the stations to join the new network. To coincide with the affiliation; on July 1, 2006, the callsign was changed to the current KBCW to reflect the change.
