KBVO originated as KLNO (which changed to KXAM-TV one month later), a satellite of Austin NBC affiliate KXAN-TV, relaying KXAN's programming to the Hill Country region of Central Texas. The call letters meant for its city of license, Llano.
During its final two years as a semi-satellite of KXAN, it now shared its parent station's logo.
In 2009, KXAM changed its callsign to KBVO (a callsign previously used by now-CBS affiliate KEYE-TV) and ceased to be a satellite of KXAN, adopting its own schedule and becoming the MyNetworkTV affiliate for the Austin market.
This update to the 2012 logo removed the swishes around the call letters and added slight rounding to the corners of the letterforms.
