2006–2018[]
On November 22, 2013, the Sinclair Broadcast Group announced the acquisition of KRNV's non-license assets. Since Sinclair cannot own KENV due to its location in the Salt Lake City DMA where the company owns CBS affiliate KUTV (channel 2) and MyNetworkTV affiliate KMYU (channel 12), the licensees for KENV and KRNV were acquired by Cunningham Broadcasting on January 9, 2018.

On December 14, 2017, KENV announced that it was unable to renew its affiliation agreement with NBC, which expired on December 31. This led to KSL-TV (channel 5) being the sole NBC affiliate for the entire Salt Lake City market; similar moves were made with WMGM-TV (channel 40) in Wildwood, New Jersey and WHAG-TV (channel 25, now an independent station as WDVM-TV) in Hagerstown, Maryland to protect network-owned WRC-TV (channel 4) and WCAU (channel 10) in Washington DC and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania respectively. KENV later announced that it would become an affiliate of the Sinclair-owned science-fiction network Comet on January 1, 2018. As of 2020, the station is affiliated with TBD (now Roar).
