This logo was first introduced to Australian customers when Kentucky Fried Chicken opened its first Australian branch in Guildford in Sydney's western suburbs on 27 April 1968.
In 1992, Kentucky Fried Chicken was renamed KFC.
Before this logo a similar logo was used but the edges were curved to resemble a 2D bucket. This logo was probably then used to fit the 'classy' theme brought by its again previous logo.
In June, KFC breifly brought back the classic "Kentucky Fried Chicken" text replacing the KFC name at times as part of a partial advertising campaign, "...We call it Kentucky Fired Chicken".
