KFVE is a television station, owned by Gray Television, and broadcasting from Kailua-Kona on the big island of Hawaii, with its DT2 signal being relayed via sister station KHNL-DT6 (13.6) in Honolulu and Bridge Media Networks-owned KKAI-DT2 (50.2) in Kailua, both on the island of Oahu.
KFVE was founded in 1988 as a repeater of KMGT, and was re-named KLEI on March 9, 1992 then becoming a satellite of PAX-owned station KPXO-TV, from 1998 to 2011. It was spun off as a stand-alone station, joining The Family Channel from 2011 until 2017. In 2018, the station became a Telemundo affiliate before putting Telemundo on a digital subchannel in 2023, putting KHNL-DT2's independent subchannel K5 on DT1.
KFVE has a separately-owned satellite (Mango Broadcasting Company's KLEI) that it purchased from KWHE in 2018. That station was initially known as KWHM from 1991–2018, before being renamed KLEI (with the original KLEI becoming KFVE).
