On February 1, 2016, KOTA-TV changed its call letters to KHME and became a MeTV affiliate, following an asset realignment related to Gray Television's merger with former KOTA owner Schurz Communications that resulted in KOTA's intellectual unit (including ABC programming) and call letters migrating to VHF digital channel 7, and KEVN-TV's call letters, virtual channel 7 and programming (including the Fox affiliation) to move to low-power station KEVN-LD.
