Initially, the '7' in this logo was thinner, but would later have the stroke thickened slightly by 1986.

During the period this logo was used, KIRO lost its CBS affiliation to KSTW on January 16, 1995 in a group affiliation deal that included Dallas-Fort Worth stster station KTVT; only to regain CBS on June 30, 1997 when KSTW switched to UPN.
The "7" in this logo was derived from the short-lived 1993 logo above.

The "7" was recolored, and the "7" became connected.
2015–present
The yellow was taken out of the logo.
