In 2013, the station changed its call letters to KKYK-CD; in addition to swapping call letters, the station also swapped affiliations with KKYK-CD, which adopted the KLRA-CD calls and became the market's Univision affiliate, and the new KKYK-CD became an affiliate of Soul of the South.
