In 1995, in order to keep both Mainland China and Taiwanese routes based on Mainland China's restrictions, which banned all airlines from entering Mainland China if they did not terminate Taiwanese routes during the 1990s and early 2000s. KLM joined other Asian, European, and Australian carriers to join KLM Asia, which only served Taiwan routes. Today, it is the only existing airline is branded with the name "Asia," as other operators'. The "Asia" brands were discontinued after terminating Taiwanese routes or being transferred to codeshare with non-restricted airlines in Hong Kong and Taiwan, including Cathay Pacific and EVA Air.

1995–2014[]

KLM Asia's logo was very similar to KLM's logo at that time, except the clown was removed. The aircraft's liveries, include both the 1991 version of the 1971 livery and the 2002 livery, also modified to removed both the European Union and the Dutch flag.

2014–present[]

In 2014, KLM introduced a refreshed logo that uses a modified version of "Asia" with its corporate font called Noa. It also introduced a horizontal version to adapt the design of the 2011 "KLM Royal Dutch Airlines" logo, while the stacked version remains to use on vertical stabilizer.
