KUTV 95

KMYU aired for the first time on August 21, 1999 as KUSG (stands for KUTV in St. George) a satellite station for KUTV.

On February 7, 2007. CBS Corporation sold its seven smaller stations to Cerberus Capital Management. Ceberus formed Four Points Media Group which was later acquired by the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2012. So KUSG (now known as KYMU) and the other six sister station are owned by them.

On March 17, 2008, KUSG became a separately programmed station from KUTV, operating as a Retro Television Network affiliate; the station estimated this switch left a small number of viewers without KUTV programming.
