On January 1, 2011, KOCE became the new PBS member station for the Los Angeles market after KCET ended its affiliation to become an independent public television station.
2016–present
In April 2018, KCETLink, parent company of KCET, the markets' former primary PBS station, announced a merger with KOCE. After the merger, KCET will return to PBS as a secondary affiliate, while KOCE will remain as primary affiliate.
