On August 9, 2003, KQED launched KQED Kids along its 5 digital subchannels.[1]

2008–2011[]
On August 1, 2008 (2 years after a merger of KQED and KTEH are into Northern California Public Broadcasting), KQED Kids has rebranded to Kids and the "KQED" word was dropped.
KQED Kids (second era)[]
2011–2017[]
On July 1, 2011, (after KTEH renamed to KQEH and rebranded as KQED Plus), KQED rebrands again as KQED Kids. Then on January 16, 2017, the channel's local feed was replaced with the feed of the 24/7 PBS Kids Channel.
2024–present[]
The KQED Kids bug returned as KQED PBS Kids in late-December 2024, while retaining the feed of the 24/7 PBS Kids Channel.
