KQED World (first era)[]
2003–2008[]
KQED World was launched respectively along with other KQED digital subchannels on August 9, 2003.[1]
World[]
2008–2011[]
In early-July 2008, KQED World rebrands as World. Despite of this, the KQED wordmark continues on on-screen bug, bumpers, promos, and IDs until July 1, 2011.
KQED World (second era)[]
2011–present[]
2011–2023[]
On July 1, 2011, (after KTEH renamed to KQEH and rebranded as KQED Plus), KQED rebrands again as KQED World. Then May 1, 2017, KQED World bought a World Channel affiliation calling it, "Best of World". Despite of the affiliation change, the KQED World wordmark continues as an on-screen bug until 2023.
