KFWU[]
1990–1997[]
The station originally signed on as KFWU in 1990 as a primary ABC affiliate and was a satellite of KAEF-TV in Eureka. Before the station signed on, viewers in Fort Bragg could recieve either network-owned KGO-TV (channel 7) from San Francisco or KNTV (channel 11, now an NBC owned and operated station) from San Jose on cable providers in the Fort Bragg area. The station was owned by California Orgeon Broadcasting. As its logo was created later than most of its sister stations, its font and shape differs slightly from the rest. In 1995, KFWU and KAEF were sold to Lamco Communications. In 1996, the station was sold to Sainte Limited.
