From August 2009 to April 2010, KSBI was alternately branded as "Thunder TV", due to it being the secondary local broadcaster of NBA games from the Oklahoma City Thunder, sharing rights to the games with Fox Sports Oklahoma, now Bally Sports Oklahoma.

In November 2010, KSBI began rebranding itself as "OK52"; however, this was not a total rebranding, as of April 2011, the 2009 logo was still being used on syndicated programs and in station IDs at the top of each hour.

In 2012, KSBI became the area's MyNetworkTV affiliate, taking the network away from initial affiliate KAUT-TV.
