KTLA launched an entirely new logo and a new slogan "where _LA lives." in January 2005.

2009–2016
On October 14, 2009, KTLA revived the classic "5" logo used from 1981 to 1997, with most of the beveling (often rendered in print advertising and IDs during the early and mid-1980s as negative space) removed. This logo looks identical to the logos used by Fox owned-and-operated stations.
