On July 28, 2009, CW Plus programming began being transmitted over-the-air via KVHP digital subchannel 29.2 (which had previously acted as a standard-definition simulcast of the station's main channel), after then-KVHP owner National Communications assumed promotional and advertising control of "WBLC" from Suddenlink Communications.
On August 31, 2017, KVHP-DT2 switched to ABC (under the branding "SWLA ABC"), becoming the network's first exclusive affiliate in the Lake Charles market. CW Plus programming was concurrently moved to KPLC-DT2.
