KWQC-TV[]

In 1986, Palmer Communications sold its Quad Cities radio properties to Vickie Anne Palmer and her then-husband J. Douglas Miller. Due to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules at the time, channel 6 changed its callsign to the current KWQC-TV (for Welcome to the Quad Cities) on December 8 so as not to confuse the two properties.

1986–1991[]

The "ribbon 6" was retained until 1991.

1991–present[]

The "6" logo used since 1991, which is loosely based on the previous "ribbon 6" logo, appears similar to the 1987–1995 "9" logo used by WWOR-TV turned upside down; an updated version introduced in December 2023 added a curved beveled border between the ball and top diagonal stroke of the "6".

Launched:  December 2023

In commemoration of the station's then-upcoming 75th anniversary, the "Hello News" music package (composed by Gari Media Group, and previously used from 1991 to 2010) and the classic "Hello Quad Cities" advertising campaign were reintroduced on October 31, 2023.

This logo, loosely based on those previously used from 1991 to 2010 (albeit with a simplified color scheme, the omission of the NBC Peacock, and the callsign and "6" emblem being arranged in reverse order), made a slow rollout throughout December 2023, in advance of the station implementing parent company Gray Television's standardized "GrayONE" graphics package the following month.
