In 1991, KYW dropped its Eyewitness News moniker after 26 years and experimented giving each newscast a different title. The morning newscast is branded Newsday, the weekday 5:30 and 6:00 newscasts are branded Newsbeat and the 11:00 newscast (both weekday and weekend) is branded The News Tonight. The weekend 6:00 newscast is branded The News Saturday/Sunday.

February-April 2023[]

In February 2023, KYW-TV began to slowly phase out the Eyewitness News name again to follow a rebranding affecting all CBS O&Os, as all newscasts incorporated CBS News Philadelphia as their identity moving forward, before became the full-time branding of their news operation on April 12, 2023, coinciding with a shift to a more community-based focus, featuring more in-depth reporting.
