On December 10, 2003, Kellogg Canada Inc. changed its legal name to Kellogg Company, identical to the original American company. Prior to 1988, the company was legally known as Kellogg Salada Canada Inc..
In 2022, Kellogg's announced that it would spin off into three companies that focus on cereal, snacks, and plant-based food divisions. In January 2023, plans to spin off its plant food business were shelved, and new plans were made to combine these operations with the global snacks-based company. On March 15, 2023, it was announced that the North American cereal divsion would be named WK Kellogg Co., and the snacks, international cereal and plant-based foods division would be named Kellanova. Despite that, the Kellogg's logo will still be used in packaging. The split was completed on October 2, 2023. The Canadian subsidiary of Kellogg's would split into WK Kellogg Canada and Kellanova Canada.
