In late 1997, they overhauled the Kids' WB! logo, and two years later in 1999, Japanese anime franchise, Pokémon (which was originally aired on syndication in the fall of 1998) helped to grow Kids' WB! into a juggernaut success. Another Japanese anime franchise that became a phenomenon success is Yu-Gi-Oh!, which that anime was premiered on September 15, 2001 on Kids' WB!

In September 2006, The WB and UPN stations were merged to form The CW, but Kids' WB! still remained on that network for two more years until 2008. Coincidentally that same month, a new children's program under the Kids' WB! name and logo also premiered in Australia on Nine Network.

On April 28, 2008, Kids' WB! relaunched its website as an online network alongside its former parent, The WB. Finally on May 17, after 14 years on the air, The CW removed the block and rebranded as The CW4Kids program block during the spring of 2008 (programming from Fox's former block, 4Kids TV also moved to The CW along with its name).
