During this time, two "S.S. KRESGE CO." logos were used.
1958–1977[]
This is the final S.S. Kresge logo; although the company opened the first Kmart store in 1962, their company name remained the same. Up until 1977, it was used in tandem with the Kmart logo used at the time. In 1977, S.S. Kresge announced that the company would rename itself as Kmart Corporation.

1990–2004[]
This logo was introduced in September 1990, was still seen at many older Kmart stores until 2022 and on Kmart Express until 2017. On January 22, 2002, Kmart filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed around 500 stores.
2004–present[]
In 2005, Kmart Corporation as a legal entity was merged into Sears Holdings. Kmart Corporation now exists as a subsidiary of Transformco.
