Kompas TV launched on September 9, 2011. Three days after launched, they changed their name temporarily to only "Kompas" due to a statement of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI in Bahasa) considering their existence as a content provider rather than a television network. In October 2012, they altered the name back to Kompas TV.
The logo itself was still being on-air until January 28, 2016, and remaining as a corporate logo until October 19, 2017.
On January 28, 2016, The logo had a slight change, as Kompas TV was relaunched as a news channel. Its notably seen on "KompasTV" wordmark which is thinner than the original ones.
On October 19, 2017, for the first time since 6 years aired, KompasTV overhauled its logo by pulled out its multicolored K-diamond symbol, as well as the change of the "TV" font and former original "Kompas" wordmark reverted. The new look unveiled in a special edition of talk show program "Rosi" alongside with the launch of new slogan "Independen | Terpercaya" (Independent | Reliable)
