Koryolink is the sole mobile network operator of North Korea but the network does not provide internet access for residents of North Korea due to the regime’s isolationist policies. The company is majority-owned by the Egyptian telecom company Global Telecom Holding (formerly Orascom Telecom), a subsidiary of VEON; GTH holds a 75% stake, and the North Korean government holds the remaining 25%.
