1996–1998 (pre-development)[]

Kokas 97

In 1996, Anggana Group (developers of the Anggana Danamon Center nearby, a subsidiary of Bank Danamon) announced the start of a project located on the borders of the planned Satrio Shopping Belt, called Kota Kasablanka (the complex being located at Jl. Casablanca).

The project, with a motto of "The Global Village," is comprised of an 82.000 sqm mall called Plaza Kasablanka, an office tower named Wisma Kasablanka, a two-tower strata-title residence called Graha Kastilla, and a four-star hotel managed by Radisson Hotels & Resorts, the Anggana Radisson Plaza. Although it was planned to be completed and open by the end of 1998, the 1997 Asian economic crisis halted the project indefinitely, also causing the Anggana Group to collapse shortly after.

2011–present[]

Kota Kasablanka

Following a takeover by Pakuwon Group in 2006, the project which had been in limbo for nearly ten years was eventually continued, albeit with several redesigns, concepts, and rebrandings.

Eventually, on 28 June 2012, the Kota Kasablanka complex opened, with the mall under the same name anchored by Sogo and Carrefour, two towers of office space named EightyEight@Kasablanka (one of the towers formerly planned to be a five-star hotel), and four towers of apartments named Casa Grande Residence.
