[[Kraft Foods Group]] was officially spun off from [[Mondelez International|Kraft Foods, Inc.]] on October 1, 2012, creating a slight variant of the classic "racetrack" logo used sice the 1970s. The parent company then renamed itself [[Mondelēz International]]. Kraft Foods Group should not be confused with Kraft Foods, Inc. as it is not the official successor. In 2013, Kraft Foods also phased out Asian countries and renamed itself Mondelēz Asia, but the name Kraft Foods still used in Asian countries and still currently operated with name Kraft Foods Group Asia.

In 2015, Kraft Foods merged with Heinz to form The Kraft Heinz Company. However, both names continue to exist separately on their respective products.
