In March 2005, LAN Airlines bought the airline Aero 2000 S.A. to form LAN Argentina. Later, in April, LAN Pax Group S.A acquired 49% of the company Cordillera S.A., which acquired 99,9% of the airline Aero 2000 S.A. On June 8th, 2005, LAN Argentina started its operations with the Buenos Aires-Mendoza-Buenos Aires route. Then, in August 2006, the company started its international operations with the route to Miami. In September, it received authorization to operate around 35 domestic and international destinations, and later, in April 2007, the company became an affiliate of oneworld.
2016–2020[]
On June 17, 2020, LATAM Argentina ceased operations. After the announcement, the aircraft were returned to the lessors and all employees were immediately dismissed.
