LG Corporation is a South Korean conglomerate (chaebol) best known for its subsidiary, LG Electronics, that manufactures consumer electronics. Besides this, it has several other subsidiaries including LG Chem, LG Display, and the LG U+ mobile network operator. It is one of two major South Korean electronics manufacturers, along with Samsung. Previously known as Lucky-Goldstar, it adopted its current name in 1995.
In 2008, the corporate font was changed to Bryant, and a glossy effect was applied to the logo.

On December 30, 2014, the wordmark font was changed to LG Smart, the new custom corporate typeface of the company since 2013. It first appeared on the LG G Flex 2 smartphone, as announced on January 5, 2015.
