LTV signed on the air on 20 November 1954. as the very first TV network in Latvia and the Baltic countries. Test transmissions began on 6 November of the same year, just 14 days when it began regular broadcasts.

Till 2023, this logo was being used on the LTV's news reporters' microphones.

The old logo was used as secondary from November 2022 to March 2023.

The new logo was teased on 11 November 2022, being first used on LTV.lv , but it soft-launched as an on-screen bug a day later, becoming the second LTV channel (after LTV7 was relaunched year before) to adopt LSM's unified branding. The old logo was still being used on idents, lower-thirds and program previews. Since February 2023, the logo was started to be used more frequently on program previews, lower-thirds, and later on idents. The new logo was fully launched on March.
