La Hora (Chile)

1935–1951

La Hora was first produced as a matutine newspaper in 1935. After the creation of La Tercera de La Hora in 1950, it became an afternoon newspaper, and was discontinued the next year.

1997–1999

In 1997 La Hora was created again as a general evening tabloid.

1999–2005

The newspaper became free-of-charge on March 7, 2000.

2013–2020; 2022-present

On January 30, 2020, La Hora published its last edition before being discontinued by Copesa, while La Tercera remained as a general newspaper.

In January 2022 it was announced that the newspaper was acquired by Sergio Marabolí (former director of the newspaper), who will continue to use the brand as a news website.
