In the middle of Uruguayan Independence Day, the Red Uruguaya de Televisión was launched somewhere on August of 1981, which transmits its own contents and of the private channels and has coverage throughout Uruguay, except the departments Montevideo, Soriano, Canelones, Maldonado, Colonia and Florida.
