La Ronde was established as the amusement park and entertainment complex for Expo 67 in 1967, which was themed Terre des Hommes ("Man and His World"). Situated on the northern tip of Saint Helen's Island, La Ronde featured rides, restaurants, and beer halls that remained open until 2:30 a.m., even after the rest of the Expo site closed at 10:30 p.m.
After Expo 67 concluded, the site was transformed into a seasonal cultural fair named 'Terre des Hommes', operating from 1968 to 1982. La Ronde continued to function as part of this exhibition, maintaining its role as a central entertainment venue. As a result, La Ronde didn't have it's own logo or branding during this period, but instead, used the Expo 67 logo and 'Terre des Hommes' branding, as seen in samples here.
