In 1895, Luigi Lavazza began selling coffee at his drugstore in Turin. Lavazza was the first to sell different varieties of coffee mixed together.
1927–1947[]
Lavazza began packaging coffee in two layer bags to preserve freshness. The packaging displayed Lavazza's first trademark.
