The Leapster was introduced by LeapFrog on October 7, 2003. On 2004, it introduced Leapster L-Max, another version of Leapster. The console stopped making games on 2009 in prior to the Leapster 2, which was introduced on 2007 for the console and 2008 for the games. Despite that, this and the L-Max was discontinued on 2014.
2007–2019[]

The Leapster 2 featured USB ports and an SD card slot. It was introduced on July 1, 2007, but didn't make games until 2008. Production for the Leapster 2 stopped in 2012 but was fully retired in 2019.
